Tracy Dyck

My horse career started over 20 years ago in the northern region of B.C.
in the small town of Smithers. Though it was isolated and the riding
season was short, I was privileged to have very good instructors to
guide me in the early years. I was a member of the Bulkley Valley Pony
Club, and moved up through the ranks to achieve my "B-2" Level. Although
the focus was mostly 3-Day eventing, I accredit this program for giving
me strong stable management skills, and the foundation for my coaching
certifications.

I moved to Kamloops in 1993 and quickly made contacts in the area to
continue training. Kamloops has offered many opportunities for working
with young horses, and my skills have improved significantly over the
years. I have had success with developing several young horse and
selling them to the appropriate buyers. In the last 7 yrs(approx.), I
have also enjoyed success in the show rings at the coast (Thunderbird,
Southlands) with several championship awards and a BCHJA Provincial
recognition award in 2006 as well. All of these achievements have been
on young horses in their first or second show seasons! One of my
favorite horses I developed was good enough to show at Spruce Meadows in
the 1.10 meter division in 2004!!

I am always continuing to broaden my education base for working with
young horses. In 2007 I participated in the Chris Irwin - Discover Your
Horsepower clinics with great success. I achieved bronze level
certification for the ground work, and jumped right into the Silver
level for riding in just 3 sessions. I have been able to take these
skills and apply them to the horses I train with excellent results.

I pride myself in giving young horses confidence, and a strong base, to
go on and be good competitors in the Hunter/Jumper world, or which ever
discipline best suits them. I also have great success in taking these
horses to Big horse shows and developing the resume they need to increase
their sale value.

    NCCP Level 3
    Chris Irwin - Silver Riding, Bronze Ground certifications

In the future I will be working towards my CEF Level 2 Coaching.
