"Raphael"
(Ramiro B/Abhang I)

Apart from "Alme Z",
Raphael's sire "Ramiro", who attained the age of 30, was one of
the first Euro-stallions as such. He was a successful
international showjumper under Fritz Ligges for many years, yet still
delivered top horses as though they were produced on a production
line. Some of these are "Fatinitza 6", "Ramiros Girl", "Rodney",
and the Olympic horse "Ramzes", "Ramira", "Riva", the double
Federal Championship winner "Rosella G", "Rinnetou Z", "Ratina Z"
(Olympic Games second with P. Raymakers, World Cup Champion 1993 and
1994 team world champion with L. Beerbaum, as well as team Olympic
medallist in 1996). "Rio Grande" (qualified for 2000
Olympics with E. Lamaze).
In breeding terms, "Ramiro" also managed to establish himself
unequivocally with more than 70 approved sons, most of whom likewise,
went into the annals of European wormblood horse breeding. The
dam "Annekatrin" was a daughter of the sire of type, "Abhang I", who
spent his entire life at the Artland stud of Badbergen and is still to
be found in the pedigrees of numerous performance horses even
today. "Annekatrin" was furthermore mated with "Ramiro" to
produce the one year younger, approved stallion "Raphaelo", who
performed stud duties in Belgium, as well as the competition sports
mare "Rosina".
"Raphael" began his stud career right in the very north of the
Oldenburg breeding area, demonstrating his prowess as a sire from the
start. He regularly procreated new top horses for all riding
divisions even with mares of diverse quality, and has oftentimes
delivered prime horses for the Vechta and Verden auctions. He was
at stud in the Hamburg region from 1986 to 1989 and has since, been
stationed at the Amselhof Walle. In the meantime, he has advanced
to become a sire of world repute. Numerous progeny have done
their bit for their sire's honour at federal championships. Top
international riders value the quality of "Raphael" offspring.
These include Ramina/Gerd Wiltfang, Ricci/Ludger Beerbaum,
Rockefeller/Andreas Krieg and Raphaelo/Iver Bornsen, as well as
Robinson FRH with Ludger Beerbaum and many more. Raphael has also
made a name for himself in breeding terms with numerous approved sons
such as the stallion performance test winner "Ravallo",
"Ragazzo". The approved son "Radiator", ridden by Rene Tebbel is
currently one of the must successful stallions in international
showjumping.
"Raphael" has also made appearances as a dam-sire, including the
multiple champion "Wittinger", "Wild Love" and the Warendorf state
stallions "LamoureuxI and II". For years now, "Raphael" has been
in a top position in the ranking of FN-breeding value rating. The
winnings of his progeny meanwhile amount to far in excess of two
million Deutschmarks. A top quality sire that is beyound all
