  Serefina has powerful, fluid movement and correct conformation.  She has a wonderful friendly nature.  This mare has the pedigree to excel as a Performance horse in the Jumper or Dressage ranks, and
her bloodlines are incomparable.




 

Serefina's Sire "Salito"  is a Hanoverian Stallion with a Performance pedigree.
For the jumper breeder, this impressive stallion has tremendous potential, placing 1st in the jumping portion of the Hannoverian 300 Day Test in 2004 and finishing 8th overall.
Until 2008, this magnificent son of Stakkato stood at the Langestutt State Stud in Celle, Germany. He was approved in 2004. At Salito's performance test at Adelheidsdorf in 2004 he was awarded first place in the jumping category out of 42 stallions in his year. Points given were 8 for character, 8 for willingness, 8 for conformation, 7 and 7.67 for rideability, 6 for trot, 7 and 6 for canter, 6 for walk, 9.17 for free jumping, 9.33 for jumping manner, 9 for jumping technique and 9 for cross country. Salito was the 2006 Hannoverian Jumping Champion in Dobrock and continued to impress with admirable results in both the 2006 and 2007 Bundeschampionat. This Hannoverian Jumping Champion of 2006 and winner of countless show jumping competitions in Germany stood at the Landgestut State Stud in Celle. German breeders were impressed by his offspring as winners of free jumping championships and mare performance tests.

"Serefina's" Dam Faustina (Cira), is by the Hanoverian stallion "Foxhunter", who stood at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, AB, (unfortunately he passed away in Sept. 2004),  whose quality through the generations, is uncompromised for the serious breeder of jumpers. Nobility, appeal and clean conformation define this stallion by Watzman.   He showed a sound strength of character, good ridability, talented jumping and wonderful gaits.  His performance, type and pedigree produces offspring with improved jumping talent, while at the same time retaining and improving the existing quality. Foxhunter is the sire of Faralyssa, the best Canadian Bred Mare selected at the 2002 Hannoverian Mare Show.
Tested in Adelheidsdorf, Germany.  He placed 6th out of 36 in Jumping and 8th out of 36 in Dressage with an overall placing of 5th.
In Germany Foxhunter competed early in his career and was the winner of style competitions. He advanced to 'S' level competitions which are equivalent to the Open level in jumping. He was injured in Germany and did not continue to compete.
Cira is the first foal from the Han. Mare, "EMMY", who is a product from the stud farm of Dr. Karl-Otto Jacobs, Hohenhameln, Germany.  This big, black, "Escudo I" daughter passed her Mare Performance test in 2002 with the very respectable overall score of 8.0.  She was imported into Canada in late 2002.  She is a large-framed mare with excellent movement, phenominal jumping ability and a kind temperment. She is an imposing mare to look at, and demands a second look.
'Escudo I', was the winner of the 1994 stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf and achieved a convincing 144.90 points in the jumping category, and has been standing at the central Celle State Stud since 1995. In 1996 he became German vice-champion showjumper in Warendorf , and had many showjumping successes up to advanced level.
Escudo I is the 2009 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. He is a son of the Celle State stallion Espri, who is known worldwide for producing outstanding jumping horses, such as "E.T." Escudo I exhibited phenomenal jumping talent at testing. He won the 1996 Hanoverian Show Jumping Championships in Dobrok in 1996, and the six-year-old Jumper Champion title in 1997. He was also the winner of several show jumping competitions at "S" level in 1999. Escudo I is outstanding in type and expression, is well-muscled and has excellent gaits. So far, Escudo I has produced convincing crops of foals, including several winning foals at regional foal shows and the top price foal of the Verden Spring Auction in 1998. He has a show jumping breed value index of 151 points and 145 for riding horse points. He sires horses with excellent type and a fighting spirit for jumping.
'Emmy's' dam the States Premium mare, "Cremona" is by the Celle Stallion "Carbid", a "Calypso II" son, who was himself, runner-up of his stallion performance test.  He has established a fine reputation for himself as a sire of exceptional diversity.
