Leo Sept. 3rd 2007
Andorr is by the German Hanoverian stallion "Antaeus".
"Antaeus's" sire "Acord II", was himself a stallion performance winner in 1991, (scoring 9.5 to 10.0 for showjumping and 9.0 to 9.6 for rideability), the 1992 Holstein showjumping champion and German vice-champion in 1992. His brother, "Acord I", from "Ahorn Z's" first crop of foals was and international showjumper in the Netherlands before being sold to the USA. In 1996, the youngest full-brother, "Acord III", was champion stallion in Brazil. "Acord II's" dam, the state premium mare "Ribecka" was champion mare of her age/class in Holstein, she belongs to the bloodline of probably the most versatile Holstein sire of the post-war period via her sire "Calypso I". Antaeus's dam Arabesque derives from a very noble Hanoverian performance line: she is the full-sister of the 1982 World Cup winner "Aramis", Mario Deslauriers (Canada), as well as , of the approved stallion and multiple advanced competition winner "Amani", and the federal champion mare "Arabell". The advanced show-jumping mares "Adelane" and "Anatevka40" are also full sisters to "Arabesque".
"Antaeus" came third at the 1998 stallion performance test in Neustadt/Dosse, where he excelled not only in jumping, but also in willingness to perform as well as constitution, attaining the maximum points score of 10. in each category.
'Leo's' dam: "Chiccolina" (Cat), is a States Premium Hanoverian mare from the breeder, Bonny Jasmin Jacobs, Hohenhameln, Germany. (breeder of the class 1 approved stallion, "Embassy". ) Cat possesses breath-taking presence in her gaits, and she is aptly nick-named 'Cat', because she jumps like one. She passed her mare performance test in 2000 with a good score of 8.17, with all 8's for gaits and rideability, and an 8 & 9 for jumping. She had a foal in 2001 by 'Dream of Glory" (Donnerhall/Pike Bube I), thus achieving her States Premium Title. Chiccolina 3 is by the now deceased "Calypso II" son 'Compliment' out of a 'Picard' mare. "Compliment" absolved his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 1994, with an above average score in all parts of the test index and qualified for the German National Riding Horse Championship in 1995. He displays positive heredity as regards type and basic gaits. His progeny demonstrate generous, nimble motions with an upward tendency, and are of the very best type. His oldest progeny are convincing through their rideability as well as their remarkable jumping qualities.
"Compliment's" female line is well-endowed with top class sires. "Freiherr", the main premium champion stallion of the 1980 Oldenburg approvals is so to speak, the "Lord-seal upholder" of the great foundation sire "Furioso II", and has managed to leave his mark on modern horse breeding.
