Sara  is a lovely Anglo Trakehner mare born in 1995, in Lexington, Kentucky.
She is by the Trakehner Stallion "Hennessey", out of an Oldenburg approved Thoroughbred mare,
'Sure Handed Doll'.

Sara has never been started under saddle, she took her mother's place in the broodmare band in 1999 when she was bred to "Titan"  (Lucky Boy xx/Rigoletto), she produced a filly in 2000.  She was bred in 2001 to the Hunter Stallion "Musing", and produced another filly in 2002.  She was bred in 2002 to the Spruce  Meadows Stallion: "Foxhunter", and produced her first colt.  She is easy to breed and handle, she is a very easy keeper, and foals with ease. She is a good mother, and she produces a lovely sporthorse type for either Hunter/Jumper or Dressage.  She was not bred in 2003 and is open and ready for breeding in 2004.

 Sara's Sire is the Trakehner Stallion: "Hennessey"   Approved in 1990 by the ATA, Hennessey is the only approved son of the deceased Koerung Champion,  "Seigneur".  Hennessey has tremendous athletic ability, excellent gaits, correct and balanced conformation, and outstanding presence.  He shows power and excellent technique over fences.  He showed in the S.Eastern US in the jumpers, and also was shown in Dressage.  He has had numerous offspring winning in the H/J arena, the Dressage arena, and in Breed Shows.

Sara's  Dam "Sure Handed Doll", was an Oldenburg NA approved, Main Mare Book Thoroughbred mare with a large frame, good bone, and exceptionally good ability over fences.  She did not prove to be a great racehorse, but she did become a versatile Amateur's mount, and her offspring have proven themselves in Hunters, Jumpers, Eventing and Dressage.  She produced over a dozen foals, half of them warmblood sporthorses, the other half racehorses.  Sarafina is the second to last of her warmblood offspring.
