Gabe  (May.2/07)

Gabe has a steady, reliable temperment, and is well handled.
Gabe is big-boned, solid and well-conformed.  He covers a lot of ground when he moves, his walk has an amazing 24" overtrack, and his temperment is quiet, with a sensitive side.
As of Apr. 2008, he stands at 16.2+hh.

Gabe is in full training with Tracy Dyck in Kamloops and is progressing well, walk trot and canter, and jumping gymnastics and grids.  He likes his work, and learns quickly.
Gabe is proving to be an excellent student, and is looking wonderful when being ridden, he has lovely self-carraige now, and he has big free-moving gaits.
His canter is super balanced, and his trot is big and elastic.
He is becoming very adjustable when schooling over fences, and he is becoming more and more effecient when jumping.

His Sire is the Hanoverian Stallion "Viva Voltaire" who has a superb show jumping pedigree, (Voltaire/Grannus/Argentinus) He was the 2000 Ontario Jumper Development Series Champion and National Reserve Champion at the Royal, of the TD Jumper Development Series for 4 & 5 year old horses. He has passed the 100 day perfomance test in Neustadt/Dosse, scoring 9's for his character, temperament, ability to work, willingness to work and his jumping ability.   His pedigree features three world class stallions who have all shown in the Grand Prix level of showjumping.   Voltaire, shown internationally under Jos lansink and Emile Hendrix, is the sire of Canadian show jumpers Altair (Beth Underhill) and Play It Again (Ian Miller) as well as the Dutch team horse Finesse (Emile Hendrix). Viva Voltaire's dam sire, Grannus, has produced many International show jumpers such as Grannusch (John Whittaker), Top Gun (Jan Tops) and Grand Slam (Nick Skelton).   Argentinus is a versatile stallion who has produced successful horses for dressage and jumping. He is the only stallion whose offspring have made him the winner of his age group in Germany five years in a row. His most famous offspring are Amaretto under dressage World Champion Isabel Worth and the show jumper Anka, ridden by European Team Champion Markus Ehning.
Gabe's Dam is a young Oldenburg mare by Gonzo I. Which is another great jumping pedigree. Gonzo's Dam is the full sister to Paul Schockemohles Olympic horse "Deister". At her Oldenburg inspection, Gabe's Dam was given a very good score of 102, attesting to her overall quality, and her first foal by the Dutch Stallion "Titan", is an exceptionally flashy and talented youngster, proving that her attributes are passed to her offspring.
